Wendy spent twenty-six years living in the Salisbury area in the South of England, where her books are set. Although now living in the North East, she regularly returns to visit friends and family there.
Writing a novel was on her bucket list for many years, finally becoming a reality during the Covid lockdown in 2020. It took a further four years of rewriting, editing, rejections from publishers and angst, before her debut novel was published in October 2024.

Another fantastic thriller from Joy Ellis; complex, pacy and kept me guessing to the end. And I just love her characters.
