Middle child. Misunderstood. Odd. And maybe even strange. This is Patricia Ange. A reader, writer, thinker with a voracious appetite for the written word, spoken word and now digital word. Ms. Ange is as passionate about the study of sex, religion and relationships as she is about psychology her chosen profession. No topic is taboo. It is this passion and originality that drives her poetry and other creative works such as Becoming A Woman: A Journey Toward Sexual Maturity, Angry Black Poem and Dialogs from the City: Girls Grow Up To Be, to name a few. Parenting in the Time of School Shootings

In my 20+ years of working within the public school system before retirement until now I saw school shootings go from random occurrences that no one heard about much before Columbine to common occurrences that happen almost every year. No amount of school security procedures has helped to stop school mass shootings as it as evidence has shown that no amount of training of school staff and students
