John Maxson Stillman (Chemistry, University of California, Berkeley, 1874) was the founding Professor of Chemistry at Stanford University (1891–1917), and served as Chemistry Department Executive Head, 1904–1914, in addition to putting in time as university Vice President and Acting President.
