“When we run, hide and try to deny our trauma the little boy or girl within comes back to seek validation, healing and peace.”

“I decided to devote my life to telling my story because I felt that having survived I owe something to the world, and anyone who has endured the pain, the isolation and the betrayal of family members. I want survivors to know that they're not alone. I want children to have the opportunity to be happy and free from abuse.”

“Forgiveness is possible but I don't think it is safe for any survivors to establish any contact with the perpetrator. You forgive but it doesn't mean you forget. There are many things to work through. The wounds are deeper than forgiveness. You need to work on taking your life back. Finding the child within and restoring him or her back to health.”

“No one escapes the wounding of the soul. You, much like me may have many questions of a painful past and focus on that pain. Maybe you have sought love and affection only to be used and left empty inside. Even now you close yourself off determined never to be hurt again so no one will ever see the beauty that lies within. I want to tell you as a woman or man you are highly valued in the eyes of God. You are His Crowning jewel of all creation. You are the pearl. We are all pearls of great value.”

“Our deepest calling is to grow into our own authentic self-hood, whether or not it conforms to some image of who we ought to be. As we do so, we will not only find the joy that every human being seeks--we will also find our path of authentic service in the world.”
―
―
“We are what we allow ourselves to become. Never settle for less than what you deserve. Keep fighting the good fight! Keep giving your all to achieve, receive and succeed”
―
―
“Survivors are often incredibly resilient and courageous. What was born out of necessity becomes strengths to become powerful beyond and above their own pain.”

Thank you Michelle, I really appreciate your review. You were one of the first people that read this simple but yet powerful book. It is filled with the love and friendship of two survivors who found themselves and now share their love and their story together. Two advocates that share their struggle, their victories and their triumphs.

Cecibel and Jack write this book in such a manner one can easily relate. It is filled with hope and faith in a better tomorrow. It explains in a very simplistic way that survivors can have a full life and have dreams, set goals, find love again. That isolation and loneliness can be turned into a sense of belonging, and unity. Finding strength in numbers as we walk this road together. An easy read filled with such candid honesty and pure love. ~ Peace ~
