Nooshin Dadashi (N.D. Mahshid) was born in Gorgan, Iran, in 1976, and moved to the capital in 1994 to study Dramatic Literature in Tehran University. She graduated with a bachelor degree in 1998, took her Master of Arts in Dramatic Literature from Art University of Tehran in 2001, and finally majored in Art Research with a PhD degree in 2010. Silk and Roses is her first published novel which is written in her second language, English.
She lives in Tehran, Iran.
