Thank you for being my friend, Catherine. (Would you prefer to be called Ms./Mrs. Miller, just plain Catherine, or any particular nicknames?) I’m thrilled you accepted my friend request. I’ve never been friends with a real author on Goodreads.
I’m a huge fan of Phantom of the Opera as you are. (Okay, I don’t know how big a fan you are.) I love the musical, have read the novel and one of the Phantom sequels, and have written a sequel myself to the musical.
I read a sample excerpt of your novels Destruction of Obsession and A Rose in Winter. And I was really sucked into them I was sorry when there wasn’t any more to read on the Kindle sample! Both were captivating, but I think Destruction of Obsession was the best. In the excerpt of that book, my heart was truly stirred by how Erik so tenderly and lovingly nursed and looked after Christine after rescuing her from her near-rape. Call it strange, but that scene so moved me I keep coming back to that Kindle sample to read it!
I know I haven’t read the rest of both your Phantom books, but what you wrote so far was awesome and very well-done. Even though I found it odd at how, in DOO, Christine could claim to know something about sex and then later on be naive and ignorant about it. But that one inconsistency alone doesn’t detract my admiration and awe for how powerfully you penned the story.
