Guess it depends on whether you're in a non-smoking situation

Actually you can set up booksignings yourself...once your book is available through a distributor, the stores will order copies to be sold at your signing. Or, sometimes they allow you to provide the copies and use their facilities. Your local library is a good place to start. I've done signings at Barnes & Noble, Hastings, Rotary Club meetings where I've been asked to speak. As an Indie it's all in your lap to do the promoting and publicizing of your book.

Hi Gay,
OK, that is news to me :-)
I would never have thought that it could work like that.
However, I live in the middle of thousands of acres of rice in northern Thailand and after 9 years, I have only discovered 5 Europeans and only two of them read.
Thanks for taking the time to reply though, it is an interesting insight.
Regards,
Owen

All right - so you are in a quite challenging situation. Guess the only viable option you have is to use social media and promote the heck out of your book. If there is any way I can help, please feel free to ask.
