Do You Read More Books in the Winter?

I don't suffer from seasonal affective disorder (SAD) per se, but there's definitely a blue funk that comes along with the arrival of winter. So, reading is one of the mainstays in keeping me intact until spring rolls up again. I don't know if I read more books in the winter, but I seem to find myself buried in a book more often than when the weather is sunny and mild. Life seems to slow down in the winter. I've been known to put off a book I'm eager to read until the cold weather hits, prolonging the fun. I've wondered if I lived in a place with decent weather year round if I'd get any reading done. It's a wise idea to stockpile your books, digital or paper, and settle in for a few months of chills. Oh, I mean outdoors as well as in your current read.

Michele bookloverforever No, I read more in the summer as I spend a lot of time shoveling walkways, the deck, driveway during the winter which detracts from my reading time unfortunately.

The ice is what wrecked us last winter. It broke off tree branches, etc. Now that clean up took up lots of time, yes.
