I spend about 80% of my time in solitude because of my line of work as a cbook illustrator. I prefer it on most days but I have to remember to take a break and find actual human beings to spend time with and socialize. Recently a neighbor invited me over for cheese. and crackers and I took her up on the offer, which usually I decline. I’m so thankful I did because on that night she had other family members and children over and I have to say, It was one of the funnest times I had in a while, even though there were mostly strangers, just being present reminds us what life is supposed to be. It’s truly about creating moments that make you happy. Thanks for a great article!

As a children's book author - same thing, I'll spend hours immersed in my writing and have to remember to make a connection with the outer world! Ha! Thanks so much for sharing and shining the light!
