Some crude drawings of characters
After doing some bad fan art of other books, I realized that I never actually tried to draw my own stuff, so here's my hand at it.
From Maygest's Tale
If it’s too hard to read, from right to left is Maygest, Horsey, Noki, Mina, Holatir, and Benj. In the background is Lena, Tirwen, Vinia, The Night Bird, and Chanla. I will do a proper Tirwen one when I get to drawing the character’s from Inna.
From Inna:
(This one bleached out quite a bit.) From right to left, Sir Tirmay, young Tirwen, Tebi (in the back), Inna, Marna, young Goedgerik (back), Little Doc LeMon, Ayan, and “Derry” Mayder.

Oh, I love the costumes, they are a wonderful mix of European court (Tebi looks very dutch with the headscarf thingy) and sort of Indian clothes.

I realized when drawing that I didn't really describe them that well, but I did want to make them a mix of cultures. I've been a fan of saris for a while, but I think recently, I've been watching this show called Ertugal set in Turkey (I think), and their dresses are so pretty! (And that might have leaked somewhat into the drawing.) I also liked the idea of the obi from a kimono, so I wanted an oversized "belt" on the dresses too. Haha when I was drawing Tebi, I was thinking that she might perhaps look too much like the "girl with the pearl earring."
