Maddie is a nurse. Her sister Sara was in a horrible accident so Maddie helps her parents take care of Sara. They find out that Sara can only fully recover if she has an operation in Germany. The family does not have money for that.

Reid Griffin is the heir to the Griffin Manufacturing. Both he and his brother are on the Board of Directors but neither wants to run the company. However, they do some charity work for the company. Reid ends up in the ER with a cut on his leg that needs stitches and requires a tetanus shot. Maddie ends up taking care of him. He instantly likes her and asks her out to dinner as a thank you. She declines. What intrigues Reid the most is that Maddie is oblivious that he is one of the Griffins of Griffin Manufacturing.

Will Maddie finally let Reid take her on a date? Will she find out about his family fortune? Will Maddie’s family find a way to get Sara her surgery?
