My GoodReads rant

OK people, I feel that I have to speak up. It's about those of you who think GoodReads is a great place to find a date for Friday night. This is NOT a dating site but a place where people come to meet new friends who like to read some of the same books. I'm constantly looking for new friends that have similar tastes in reading. I want them to be my friend in order to find new reading material. Something they've read and liked and can suggest to me.

Putting up a profile with lots of salacious pictures, no books but tons of friends is not what I’d call a material for a GoodReads profile. Now I’m as hormone driven as the next guy and enjoy a nice cleavage shot but I’m not looking for a date, just friends. I understand some of the newer people just getting on the site and have yet to get all their reading material into their profile. I understand people who aren’t voracious readers or are just so busy that they can’t read a book a month.

A profile with more pictures of scantily clad people than books is getting to be a bit too much even for a hormone driven male such as myself. Please keep your dating profiles on such places as FaceBook or FridayNightHook-Ups, GoodReads really isn’t the place for such stuff. NUFF SAID! :)

Gia It happens on every single site! Honestly it makes me want to throttle so many of these morons.
I am here to show of to friends what I read, to find books I may enjoy and for the giveaways of course ;) I am a sucker for a freshly signed book!
