Thanks for your prayers, offers of shelter and clean up help. We are OK, and were so much luckier than many here in SW FL. River water surged four feet into our garage at high tide, totaling our cars and damaging multiple stored boxes and furniture. My husband and I held our Pomeranians as we watched the swampy water climb step after step up to our front door. Our plan was to shelter in the attic, where provisions were waiting. Four inches from breaching the house, the tide finally began receding! Now we are cleaning and counting our blessings. Here are before and after pics of the lanai.
