Bob Marshall One of the "women following Jesus" was Mary the mother of John Mark, the person Peter goes to on his release from prison (Acts 12:12). Peter describes Mark as his son (1 Peter 5:13), it is possible Mark was literally Peter's son and Mary mother of John Mark is Peter's elusive wife. Her account of the ministry of Jesus would be fascinating.
Martha of Bethany was also a significant woman in Jesus' ministry because of her confession of faith "Yes Lord I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God who is to come into the world" (John 12:27).
