Yeah, another Tim Johnston book, DISTANT SONS. I'm on page 123. Clever, engaging dialogue. Slow build up of suspense. The man writes like a dream.

I was thrilled to see a new Tim Johnston mystery on the newly-released shelves at Barnes and Noble.
I believe in the elasticity of story telling, that boundary lines of believability can be stretched and the story still rings "true" for the heart. Tim does that. And oh, what abundance of humanity are in his characters and how his witty dialogue begs for more. This is a literary mystery. Beautiful writing. Here I am, a woman, and I was captivated by the discussion between two men about putting in new plumbing for washing machines, of all things.
