I agree, Jeff, I'm not fond of extreme horror. Body horror is risky to read for the most part. I did read Joyce Carol Oates, A Darker Shade of Noir, which is short fiction on body horror. Some of it was too severe for me but other stories okay. And yes, Charles L Grant is the best for quiet horror, which I love. Thank you for your thoughts, Jeff. Paula

My novels were published at Crispin Books in Milwaukee. They closed a few years ago.



I like ghost stories...vampires/werewolves...traditional monsters... Was fond of Grant's quiet horror...
