I couldn't have said it better. This is the greatest betrayal by our fellow Americans we have ever experienced and the struggle to move through that feeling will last a long while. Stay safe and find healing.

We need time to grieve for the country we've lost, the country we thought we were, the country we wanted to be. I'm not sure how we got here, but I'm ashamed of my country and devastated by what we've become. god help us.
How can a convicted felon, convicted rapist, liar, scammer, heartless, money hungry thief with only a concept of a plan for this country? Over a million people died of covid on his watch. So confused?
My condolences to you and your fellow Americans. I'm in Canada and I worry about what Trump will do. Last time, I thought he would blow the world up somehow. Hopefully, he doesn't do it this time either but his other policies are very damaging, too.Mostly, I'm just confused that a convicted felon can be elected President. Does this mean all convicted felons can now run for President? Why would you want a criminal leading your country? It just boggles my mind.
I'm terrified. But also angry. And I keep reminding myself that I must not become that which I despise.Be kind to yourself, your family, your friends and neighbors and those good people still shining brightly. May we all shine so bright we make visible the paths through the darkness.
