What Was It Really Like in NYC On 9/11?

Every year around this time I post about what it was like to live and work in Manhattan on 9/11.

My husband and his colleagues worked in the building across the street from the World Trade Center, and were forced to dodge burning debris (and falling human bodies) as they fled the area. Fortunately all of them returned home safely.

Erin Smith This is good to hear stories from people who were there. It is inspiring and eye opening. I was in high school and 16 years old at the time, living across the country, it was so incredibly hard and horrible to see what happened and what was going on to try to understand. This is a good story to tell.
