I'm glad you liked the short, and hope you enjoy the books! It'll be interesting to see how Hidden Magic reads, since you've read "Birthdays Suck." I imagine it'll change your perception of one of the major plot devices; you can read along feeling superior to Rory for knowing something major that he doesn't, which is usually fun. :D
