reflections (not poetic)

the goodreads giveaway has done well, surpassed my expectations. progress seems slow on gaining fan bases and readers. but as much as I love "many shades" as my debut collection, it still feels a stepping stone to this second collected works. but I'm sorry. there's some in it that will rake on folks' nerves and religious trainings too.

I try to remember to say my prayer before I write for the coming collection, but even so, what oft comes out still carries dark tones and shades. as much as it bother's some folk, dark side is where I oft walk.

come walk with me, he said, let's see
where the journey takes us
and hold my hand; it may get dark;
let's walk without a fuss.

Kellee Kranendonk Without a dark side, there is no light side. So maybe you have to walk on the dark side for a bit in order to see the light side. :)

Listen to those who lift you up, not those who pull you down.
