All sorts of news

You can read it at http://barelysouth.com/ Click on the issue, then use the little pages at the bottom of the screen to get to page 42. It’s a fanciful poem about my grandmother and the things she liked.

You can get it at the Barefoot Muse Press website http://www.barefootmuse.com/forgettin... or from Amazon.com at the following link http://www.amazon.com/Forgetting-Home... Every word of this poem is true. Previously published in Hanging Loose,t’s also in my book, No Longer at This Address, which will be published by Moontide Press in 2014.

3) Just a reminder of my reading on Thursday, Nov 21 for Poetry Matters. Doors open at 7, open mike at 7:30, then me, reading mostly from my book, Fugitive Pigments. Epic Lounge, 8239 Second St, Downey, CA. If you can’t make the reading, you can still get a signed copy from http://ruthbavetta.com/ or you can order from the Big A http://www.amazon.com/Fugitive-Pigmen...

Here’s a quote from the flyer:

Although Ruth Bavetta has written and published poems for over twenty years, she was a visual artist before she began writing. In her new book, Fugitive Pigments, she explores the resonance between art and poetry. Ruth’s poems are feminine, not in the sense of being fluffy but in the sense of being woman... emotional, strong, nurturing, hurting, teasing and above all honest.
