Read Kalisha

Kalisha’s take on two of the most important black women’s novels and films is a featured piece for BlogHer’s Entertainment section. Read her piece, “Important and Troubling Book-to-Film Issues in My Favorite Movies: ‘The Color Purple’ and ‘Beloved’” here on BlogHer.

Kalisha’s story PERSONALS appears in the most recent issue of The Stockholm Review of Literature. The story follows a web of interconnected strangers plagued by urban alienation and internet safety issues across a nameless online platform.

Hermeneutic Chaos has published the first public peek at Kalisha's latest novel. The story follows a brave and strident girl fated to tragedy in her Mississippi trailer park, where the world around her begins to unravel after a child and woman’s disappearances. Phyllis | Mocha Drop Where can we pre-order your next novel (Women and Girls or is titled, Singer's)?

Kalisha Buckhanon Hello Mocha Girl, Thank you for inquiring. I am putting on finishing touches now. Singer's is an excerpt of the setting I felt compelled to share. The novel is coming and please do stay posted for updates.

Many blessings,
Kalisha
