I grew up in Wimbledon, just a few miles from there and have actually visited Croyden airdrome, which is where your father would have been stationed. We all appreciated so much the brave men from Canada and the US who fought in the skies during those terrible years. The Manor House Mysteries are set during that time period. I do hope you find them interesting. Kate Kingsbury.
That's exciting to know, Kate! And I know my father would have been pleased to hear that you appreciate the efforts of the airmen. He wrote that the English people he encountered were very pleasant. He was invited to tea occasionally while on leave in London, by complete strangers who saw him in uniform and just wanted to say thank you. I'll pick up one of the Manor House Mysteries soon. I'm looking forward to it!

Love the premise of the antique toy shop and love your writing. Any hint of humor and I'm hooked. Can't wait to read the rest of it now!
