Just reading your blog was not only a walk down memory lane but an absolute madeline (in tv flavors!). I'd forgotten all about Adam-12 which I loved as a kid. And Dragnet was old even when I was young but I do still use the phrases "Just the facts, ma'am," at work. And I never knew Police Woman (which even then I knew was tacky but Angie Dickinson was a police princess) was based on Uhnak's work. And I too still like Rockford Files, graced by James Garner. I think that (& maybe this is the only resemblance to reading!) tv is important because how it links our lives to others. It is our odd equivalent to listening as a group to a bard sing the songs of our culture.
