Why does the family call their Dad Holmer? Did she say why and I missed it?

Meg Kissinger I did not say why. Why? I do not know! But I get asked this ALL the time. Late in the game, my brother Danny started calling our father Holmer as a ki…moreI did not say why. Why? I do not know! But I get asked this ALL the time. Late in the game, my brother Danny started calling our father Holmer as a kind of joke. It started out as Holmes — as in Watson and Holmes. Then just kind of morphed into Holmer. My dad was such a character, it felt only appropriate for him to have a goofy nickname. P.s. We all have crazy nicknames. Patty is Yygor. Molly is Rabbit. Billy, for some unknown reason, is Francis The Talking Mule. I just couldn’t get into that in the book as it would have confused the readers so much more.

Am I correct that the author has a sister named Molly AND a daughter named Molly? Or was I mixing up family members?
