also, when Nimona split up, Ballister went to Dr. Blitzmeyer's house to take the anomalous energy enhancer, and I quote, said to the dr, "She's not just a creature. She's my friend. Someone I love is going to to try to kill her and she's going to try and kill him" ( page 214 if you want to check me on that ) as shown in earlier chapters, Ambrosius is the person trying to kill Nimona, meaning Ballister declared his love for Ambrosius to Dr. Blitzmeyer
