Aimee Weissman I see where you are coming from however, the end of the book provides a moral. The book has to have a plot.

Gabriella You do have a good point, however I think that it is the point of the book and those events to prompt the reader to realize that what is happening is wrong and that Sophie is only doing what others have made her think is her path to true happiness when in the end she turns out to be wrong and sees how pursuing what makes OTHERS happy isn't what is going to make HER happy, and that the segregation between good and evil, and boys and girls, is completely ridiculous and following the traditional fairy tales is only going to bing harm to the new age and the new way of thinking, and I think that it reflects a good message to what is actually going on in the world right about now, and the conflict many people go through figuratively.
