Again, all deeply predictable. Bosch, yes, Surrealism in general and Ernst and Tanning and de Chirico in particular, some symbolism, Julian of Norwich, Huun-Huur-Tu, Drum n’ Bass music, British children’s comics of the 70s and 80s (Whizzer and Chips, Beezer, Dandy, Oink!), 2000AD, Raw, Fly in My Eye, Drawn & Quarterly, Doré, some TV (Dr Who of course, Sapphire and Steel, Saturday morning cartoons), Francesca Woodman, Victorian Ken Reid, monster movies, especially creature features, buildings (both in general and certain particular ones), Getatchew Mekurya, architectural conjunctures between old and new buildings, cephalopods in particular and subaquatic animals in general, old ownerless photographs, Public Enemy, imaginary robots, Jannis Kounellis, Jan Svankmajer… I could go on but I will spare us all more spillage from the Geekucopia.
