I agree. Besides, to read this first would be missing all the build up to it, which makes you really anticipate reading Acheron. Like literary foreplay.
That. And the fact that I feel it would kind of suck to cry over a character you don't really know that well and what he has done for others. Be kind of like crying during a really good movie for a powerful character but you haven't really seen the first half hour.
