hum. i don't agree w/ you Jamie. i see what you mean but honestly, i found the book way better when i read it AFTER the others (it's the 15th i think?)because you learn just a few things about him when you read the books and you keep guessing, it's a mystery, & then you read Acheron & you understand ton of things. like his behaviour, his never-giving-his-back-to-anyone thing etc. & i think it has even mor impact because all the memories of the books come back when you read it and it made me cry even more! :)
