Emma I agree. I wasn't that bothered about the ending. I just loved the story of the breakdown of a community (that makes me sound awful but I hope you know what I mean!)

Krissy I felt more let down by the ending to his latest, 11/22/63 than by this one. Both were so good up to the end though, that it is worth every word.

Jonathan I agree! I loved this book. I feel like Dome is just one of those massive stories where a perfect ending is out of the question. I can close my eyes now and still see the world that King brought to life here and that, to me, is a talent that precious few authors can boast. I have to re-read Tommyknockers every year around the end of October and now it seems I have another King novel to add to the creepiest month.

Shandi Hawthorne I agree with Michelle. Then ending is definitely not the point of this story. I think it's more about how people would react if a situation such as the dome ever occurred, despite the fact that it is created by aliens.
