I totally agree. I am glad it wasn't just me that was irriating by the descripted way Patrick would talk about what he buys and what he's wearing I was like who cares, omg! But I did notice that when they get to the sex and torture scenes he's not as detailed as he is with his clothes, food or drinks which tells me that he doesn't really care and if it is all in his head wouldn't it have been more detailed? But in your head, you're details are clouded by reality.
