Jonathan Me too. Barbara had so many enemies inside the dome it would have been nice. I will definitely read it again, probably around Halloween, the best time for any King novel!

Jonathan Tell me about it! I'm looking forward to his 11/22/63 but I couldn't read it directly after Dome. My wrists needed a break!

Jonathan Damn. I might have to read it next instead of Cell. Zombie apocalypse or time travel, THE CHOICES ARE KILLING ME!

Jonathan You're not making my decision any easier haha. You should check out Scott Sigler. I lerrrrve King and recently read some of Sigler's stuff. I dig it all.

M. Stafford I could think of a different ending; advanced technology from a rogue nation; the U.S. experimenting on its own people; political intrigue.......for a few. There are many endings that would be better than the cop out of aliens.......especially since there seems to be nothing established early in the novel to indicate an alien presence. The events in the novel strike me as so human that a human ending would only be appropriate. To assume that aliens are as hard and cold as human beings can be is to do a disservice to other possible existence in the universe!
