Hayley Linfield The Book of Negroes was written by a black man, but you're right in general. I think the biggest book market is white and so books written by white people get the biggest marketing push. Maybe?

Good question. I would add@ where are all the POPULAR novels written by black people about black people? Let's face it, where are all the POPULAR novels written about working class people BY working class people? ...... ?
