Gandalf, hands down.
Totally love the friendship between Legolas and Gimli. Even more in the movie. :D
IKR! I love them competing with each other in battle over how many orcs they've killed.
However, I have to say I love Sam because he's so loyal to Frodo. That said, I really love Farimir. He was great in that he was intelligent in his questionin of Frodo and Sam and, unlike his brother, treated them more as equals. Not to mention he lets them go on their quest when few would have done so. Also, the mission his father, who I do not like, he was so loyal and brave, as mentioned.
