Desiree, I too used to think that Patterson was black! I thought maybe I was the only one. I think he wrote Cross perfectly, it's just shocking the type of insight he had into portraying such a character. As far as Morgan Freeman, I think he plays a great Cross, but I have to agree I pictured either Snipes of Denzel Washington. I could even picture Cuba Gooding Jr. in the role of Cross.
