Rosella What evidence in the book suggests Asbergers aside from the brief mention so stimuli?

As a retired pediatrician, I spent some time looking into this and no known syndrome that I found could fit everything: father to son transmission (this presupposes fertility, which is impaired in many chromosomal disorders).

By the way Richard Speck did not have XYY syndrome -- that's an urban legend.

XYY (Klinefelter's) would not work in this book as the males with it are sterile. They are also not particularly violent. They are also intellectually impaired, which clearly the father and son were not.

Interesting hook, but nothing hangs on it that I can find. Hope someone else finds a clear link to something@
