C. J. Scurria My church did that a few years ago too. We similarly read as a collective church the book one summer. It makes me proud of my church how we went over it though (we did it substance in scripture over the book itself. The bible's truths became more important than everything that was said in "Purpose Driven Life." Because of us all going over it I have been happy to discover more about what God is about. This has helped me grow as a Christian.

Allison Kohn Ours did too and we got a lot out of it. Eugene Peterson is one of my favorite authors too. I started reading his books and it was like eating one potatoe chip - I wanted more, no matter how many I read.
