I sort of agree. I read this book after my own cousin took his life and it sucked. Every day it still sucks but I never once thought he was selfish when he left life. I know he's still with us and I know it wasn't his fault. He felt he had no where else to go.
I don't think that being sad because someone you love died is selfish. The pain we feel with loss shows that who we lost was important to us.
