I think Ryo watched her because of the powers she already displayed at such a young age and figuring they'd grow with her, it was probably smart to check on her now and again just in case. Remember these boys are kinda extreme control freaks.
Christan is a walking penis at this point, insanely over stimulated and horny as hell. What else can you expect from him?
Dancer, on the other hand, seriously creeps me out. Who is he? Where the heck did he come from? Why is distrustful, cautious Dani, of all things, so happy to have him around? I don't get it.
i tend to wonder if Ryodan is Dani's real father??? I mean, Barron's had a kid...then again he had his kid before he was what he is...idk but i think it would be a neat twist. I dontthink hes thinking of Dani in a sexual way, but who knows? And how can she be w Christian if hes friggin total unseeely prince?? (although it would be HOT)...she probly ends up w Dancer...and i cant WAIT to learn his secrets!
I'm guessing Christian is just horny eye-candy.
If Dani ends up with Dancer it would be a total let down for me... I just can't see how a character we know virtually nothing about (because, let's face it, we only get to see him through Dani's perspective, without having a clue as how they actually got on such good terms in the first place) and who gets so little time 'on stage', so to speak, could end up being such an important part of Dani's life. I mean, sure, he's a friend, but a sexual ('cause, hello, this is a Fever series book, sexual tension is a must), significant other? No way. I get he's the only age appropiate guy around, but it would be totally disappointing to me if she ended up with the normal, everyday kiddo (especially when she's not one herself) when there's so many MEN after her. I guess a bit of flash forward-ing in time is due, don't you?
Besides, when Dani was describing what love was to her, I think Ryo was trying to make her realize how that description applied to her own living conditions (as in providing shelter, food, comfort, etc). Didn't anyone get the idea that he was trying to tell her something? Or rather make her see something, without having to tell her outright?
And I seriously doubt Ryo is Dani's dad. I mean, come on, he's protective about her (which I grant you is weird as can be, seeing as he's kinda shitty) but don't you think he'd include her in the 'clan' if that were the case? If she's his daughter, she'd be one of 'them' (whatever that is), and if Barrons was something (other than a badass, sex machine) he was 100% devoted to his kid.
Mechi, I couldn't agree with you more! Katie, KMM said this in a Q & A:
Q. Is Ryodan Dani’s dad?
A. No. No. No.
Q. Is Dani’s father relevant?
A. No.
So it looks like he isn't her father. I definitely think that when Ryodan was listing off all the things it takes to love someone (according to Dani's definition) he was trying to get Dani to open her eyes. Maybe accept the fact that even though he is a jerk, he can still care for people and that he does try his best to care for Dani. I think she is trying to keep her blinders on which is partially why she doesn't want to think about it and punches him.

There is that theory that Dancer is actually Rhymer, but I don't give it much credit, because he acts like such a kid born in the 21st century.
Yeah, I agree about Christian! I have the feeling he will get much badder as the story progresses.
