Sid J 2 BETA READERS FOR YOUR BOOK (Male & Female perspective)

Hello!

Do you need fresh pairs of eyes on your book? Do you want to know if your story is engaging or your pacing up to the mark? Are your dialogues unique to your characters? Are your internal and external conflicts well defined? Every writer has these questions and we are here to answer them.

I (Sid) am an experienced developmental editor and beta reader (7 years) with a degree in screen and creative writing from a reputed school in Los Angeles. My wife (Pragna) is a casual yet a very keen reader.
We have had past clients who went on to have very successful self and traditional publishing careers (Testimonials added at the end)

We will provide you with an honest, in-depth, and comprehensive reading report for your manuscript. We will go over your plot, setting, character arcs, story arc, sub-stories, dialogues, and pace. We will also adhere to specific demands by the writer to look into a character or a story arc.

I (not Pragna) also provide inline notes/reactions in the manuscript.

You will receive two detailed reading reports.

If you are interested, you can contact us at the email: pjebvala@gmail.com
Or through our Fiverr gig : https://www.fiverr.com/s/8a9KKg

We have a discounted price rate for Authors who contact us through GoodReads.

Our rates are $20 - up to 5k words, $60 - up to 40k words, $100 - up to 80k words. (This is for 2 beta readers with two separate reading reports)
We are open to longer books.

I have added a few testimonials here, but you can see them all (dozens of them) in the Fiverr link.

Testimonials

"Sid and Pragna are incredible! They don't Beta read alone, their report is comparable to developmental editing. Five years ago, when I was working on another manuscript, I hired a "professional" freelance editor at great cost (that I could not afford). That editor's work pales in comparison to what Sid and Pragna have done for me in this assignment. They are top-notch, diligent, and a delight to work with. Their comments blew me away, and my manuscript will become stronger because of them. Thank you so much!"

"Like with the first book in my series, it was great working with this seller. The double report is great and gives two different perspectives. I also know exactly what can be improved and will be forever grateful for the help."

"Absolutely phenomenal work, I have hired many New York Times specialized editors on my book so far and paid a lot of money for feedback, but this is the best so far. Really great insights, love these two!!!! I am so happy about this order"

Sid J Some reviews from Authors that found us from this forum...

"Sidd and Pragna are exceptional. They beta-read my first novel, to my total satisfaction with their comments and results. They were encouraging but firm with this noobie writer. They provided the viewpoint that I needed and offered me the help that I needed.

Do not have any reservations about engaging them for any of your needs. The highest of recommendations."

- David Horvat

" wanted a thorough beta read and know this service can run as much as $500 (Kirkus) and higher (just saw one for $750). So, I will be recommending Sid and Pragna to everyone I possibly can : )
VERY happy with the work, and amazed at the value.
Thank you both!"

-Rod Miles

"All very good. Personable, and affable, with honest assessment.

I will take a look at two minor characters, and assess one or two other aspects to increased depth and realism and reader demands. I thank Sidd and his partner for thwir excellent feedback."

Sid J "Sid and Pragna have been with me from the beginning to the end of my six book series. Their reviews have been invaluable to me, and their professional advice has been a major factor in the development of my story.
I don't want to think about where I would be now if I hadn't had their council. I cant wait until I have the opportunity to work with them again in the future!"

Rob Witherspoon Hello, Sid and Pragna,
I have a historical novel of about 100k words, but it is broken down into 5 parts. The first part is about 25k words and I'm fairly happy with it. The remainder are in various stages of revision. I can send them to you in chunks of 20-25k. Would you take $50 a pop?

Trigger Warning! The subject of this query letter is a blasphemous novel. It does not belong in the hands of anyone who devoutly follows any of the Abrahamic traditions. The Gospel of Lucre, a 97,000-word historical fiction novel is not for the close-minded. Book I at 25k words is the first installment.
Kristos, a first century caravan master and con man, abandons the trade routes and settles in Roman occupied Judea. The knowledge of medicine and mythology acquired on his travels throughout the ancient world serves him well to swindle the uneducated and superstitious. The resentment and civil unrest simmering in Jerusalem inspires him to pull his boldest con of all time. He will be the Jewish Messiah.
With a cadre of trusted caravan mates, he travels the countryside preaching, healing, and recruiting disciples. He first liberates Mary, a Magdalene prostitute, by killing her vicious pimp. Along the way, he adds a mentally damaged Nazarene named Jesus and his mother, two corruptible fishermen, two tax collectors, a talented artist, and an assortment of camp followers who aid and abet him.
As the movement grows, it attracts the attention of a fanatical priest intent on returning the apostates to the fold. The holy man revels in torture, terror, and murder as he pursues his self-righteous compulsions. Driven by religious fervor, but tormented by sinful longings, Saul of Tarsus will stop at nothing until he has Kristos in chains and young Barnabas in his bed.
While Kristos tours the country, gaining followers and growing his treasury, his brother Yakob remains in Jerusalem where he makes connections and establishes a criminal organization. Yakob’s influence on the Romans, the Sanhedrin, Herod, and Pontius Pilate will determine whether the scam succeeds, and whether Kristos lives or dies.
Kristos returns to Jerusalem where, to further convince his followers of his divinity and escape persecution, he fakes his crucifixion and resurrection. He escapes with pregnant Mary and leaves the fledgling religion in the capable hands of his brother. But he faces the obsessed priest one final time in a showdown on the road to Damascus.
The book originated as an idea for a short story after reading about the rise and fall of televangelists Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker. I knew there were medieval charlatans, and wondered how far back they went. I intended to write a short story about a fifth century con man but decided to take it all the way back to Anno Domini XXX. The Gospel of Lucre imagines a plausible alternative to the writings of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
The time period, geography, history, and background is thoroughly researched.
Thanks for your consideration.
Best regards,
Rob
