Dianna Winget I just discovered this group and am delighted to be here. I’m a hybrid author who writes clean, contemporary romance with happy ever after endings. I’m the author of the Huckleberry Ridge Romance series, as well as the standalone, Holding Out for Special.

Happy to meet you! I'm a clean contemporary romance writer too, currently working on book 2. My debut novel is titled Misty Dreams.

Jamie Orr Hi Dianna,

When you say "hybrid author," do you mean some of your books are indie published and some are trad published? Just curious.

I just read a couple pages of "A Country Kind of Love" and I like your writing style. If you'd like to post on BookBlush.com, I'd be happy to add your books. We're in the midst of transitioning to a new database, so for now, we're only posting the first book in each series and then we'll add the others later. You can see the rating system on the site and I'm guessing your books are probably "Kisses Only." Let me know if you have questions: Jamie@bookblush.com

Dianna Winget Hi Jamie, yes, I also write middle grade, some of which are traditionally published. And yes, all my romances are low heat :) I’d be happy to be added to BookBlush. Thank you for your interest.

Dianna Winget Thank you for the welcome everyone:)

Arch Hi

Jamie Orr Dianna,

At BookBlush.com, we have decided to divide "Kisses Only" into two levels:

1) KISSES ONLY
2) KISSES + HINT OF HEAT

We feel this is necessary because the titles we receive in the “Kisses” category span a wide range of heat levels. At one end of the spectrum, the books are quite innocent while at the other end, they contain spicy undertones, innuendo and thoughts like "Just looking at his abs made me melt."

Which category is the best fit for "The Huckleberry Ridge" series?

Thanks,
Jamie

Dianna Winget Hi Jamie, I would say “just kisses with a hint of heat.” By the way, I tried to find Book Blush, but all that ever came up on the web was Book Brush. Can you share a link? Thanks!

message 13: by Dianna (new)

Dianna Winget Hi Reva, nice to “meet” you :)

message 14: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Orr It's BookBlush.com

message 15: by Dianna (new)

Dianna Winget Jamie, strangely I’ve searched BookBlush.com repeatedly, and the only thing that comes up is a teenager’s Wordpress site by that name. I’m on my iPad using Safari. Next time I’m on my laptop I’ll try using Edge.

Jamie Orr Sorry about that. My tech guy set up a "staging" site yesterday while he works on our new database and I think that's messed up the navigation. He's working on it. I think you can currently reach the site through our Facebook Page "BookBlush." There's a link in the intro section. Sorry for the inconvenience. Tech challenges are the bane of my existence.

Dianna Winget Thanks, Jamie. I’m not on FB … long story. But I’ll check out Book Blush again once it’s ready.

🐝 Shaz 🐝 Hi , I have just joined this group.
It’s hard to find a book these days . Which has not been ruined by adding sex scene that are not relevant to the story.
I find myself reading an interesting story, then you end up with pages or even chapters that are just about sex. After skipping pages you loose interest or it just ruins the story. What happened to using your imagination.

I like it when you find a nice clean book.

I don’t mind the old bodice ripper books, they are tame towards the books wrote these days.

Jamie Orr We changed BookBlush.com to BookBlushRomance.com which is much easier to find. (The old name was too close to a graphic arts site called BookBrush.) Check us out. We currently have romance books by over 175 authors. You can search by "blush level," themes and more.
