Given my Polish ancestry (my grandparents came from Krakow), I was naturally drawn to Eric’s vignettes about communities in Poland. His marvelous prose captures the heart of the nation. It’s noteworthy that Eric incorporates his travels in his literary work. Wrecks and Ruins is partially set in Lithuanian, and The Color of Jadeite occurs in China. This gifted writer’s work is worth your consideration.
