Glad the students enjoyed it! We're working on Centaurs Don't Celebrate Sukkot. We tried to get it out this year, but ran out of time. Centaurs, like the holidays, just sneak up sometimes. We will be having a Valentine's book in the same style as the Orc Christmas book out in February. Thank you for reading!
Thank you so much for your reply. I'm very excited to hear about the Sukkot book. Also Centaurs ftw! I'm looking forward to it next year. Where I come from Sukkot falls together with our version of "Thanksgiving" as a harvest festival... I'll definitely look into the Valentine's book though to be honest it's really only a holiday I encountered while living in the U.S. – I don't think it means much to the rest of the world. I usually use the Charlie Brown Christmas book to explain the holiday because it's the right balance between religious motiviation and traditions around the holidays. I have thought about this for a while now and I just find that we lack such books for Easter and Pentecost though maybe it's too difficult. I'm not a writer, I only teach but I find the more we all know about our different traditions and motivations the less prejudice we'll develop so I try to start this education from an early age... in any event thank you so much for this incredibly fun series and I genuinely hope you'll continue! My students and I will continue reading.
