If you aren't sure, or just want confirmation, this test is very good for telling born again Christians what the spiritual gift is that God gave them. Sometimes He gives more than one.

Kaya W. This was so interesting and accurate. My top three were Mercy-showing, Teaching and Shepherding.

Nancy I'm glad you took the test, and that's great!! Mercy, teaching, and shepherding.
Not sure about showing. I don't remember that as being a spiritual gift in their list.
?

Nancy One of my gifts is teaching, also. You probably enjoy reading your bible a lot, right? And as you read it, most likely you remember a lot of Scripture, which helps you in teaching others the truth.
It bothers me when people mis-quote the bible, does it bother you, too?
Explain shepherding to me. What does that involve?

I do enjoy enjoy reading the bible and dislike when it is misquoted.

Shepherding involves taking care of the whole needs of a group of people. It could be pastoral if it is paired with teaching. They gave examples of ministry group leaders and Sunday school teachers along with pastors and assistant pastors.

I wasn't listing "showing" as a gift. I listed "mercy-showing" instead of "showing mercy". I should have just wrote "mercy" to avoid confusion.

Charles Wagner I'm a firm believer in using our Spirituals gifts. There's no pride in sharing the gifts God gave us. We didn't earn them. I believe that
"Faith without works is dead" James 2:17 is an example of God
telling us to do works in His Name and for His Glory (not ours)
I would encourage all believers to take the test and start using
those gifts. God is good......All the Time. - Holly Young (Marketing Director for Charles Wagner and Gramazin.com)

I agree, Charles. There is NO pride in sharing or using the gifts God gave us. We most certainly did NOTHING to earn them! God gives born again Christians gifts from the Holy Spirit in order to build up the body of Christ. (among other reasons)

Nancy My most prominent gift involves being able to easily spot what is wrong, especially in the church, and I have a great burden over the sinful condition of the world around me, and because of this, I take every opportunity to proclaim that everyone must repent or perish.
I point out sin, with the goal of making people aware of their sin so they will repent. My gift is one of the LEAST liked spiritual gifts, Christians dislike it a lot when anyone exposes their sin, and lost people dislike it even more. Although now, the churches have been heavily infiltrated with doctrines of devils, and what I see as the biggest problem there is that false teachers nowadays can SO EASILY teach false doctrine because PEOPLE JUST DO NOT READ THEIR BIBLE.
Or, they have a bible version that has omitted so many verses, and has so man errors in translation that the Christian using it is led astray even more. What's worse is, the person using a bad "bible" per-version is more likely to be adamant, and confident that they know what the true Word of God says.

message 11: by Nancy (new)

Nancy I said all that, to let you know that using your Spiritual gift is always good, if you use it as God intended it to be used.
We must always be submissive to Jesus, and His leading, and be willing to fight the good fight of faith to uphold the truth of the Gospel and of the Word of God.
It is not popular nor easy to do those things now, and the bible says it will get worse as the time approaches for Jesus to return and judge the world.

Nancy 2Tim.3
[1] This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
[2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
[3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
[4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
[5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
[6] For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
[7] Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
[8] Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
Doesn't this look like what is being taught and preached in most churches today?

When someone misquotes the bible, what do you say to them?
What if a pastor, priest, or teacher misquotes the bible, have you had to deal with those situations>?

(I usually will show them the correct bible verse, and then either leave it at that, or discuss it to a certain point, depending on their responses)

It depends. Did they misquote Scripture? or, did they understand it in a way different from one's preferred interpretation?
