message 17: by Sean (new)

Sean Robins Hi Peyton,

Will you by any chance be interested in reading my sci-fi book? It's an Amazon No. 1 Hot New Release with some 50 five-star reviews.

This is the blurb:

The Akakies, a peaceful, technologically advanced alien species known as "the galaxy's pranksters," are under attack by the Xortaags, a vicious military race bent on conquering the universe. The Xortaags are deadly, but Tarq, the Akakies' chief strategist and legendary shadow master, has a plan.

Meanwhile on Earth, Jim, a wise-cracking, movie-quoting, OCD-suffering fighter pilot, is about to propose to his girlfriend Liz when his childhood friend Kurt shows up at his house, injured and covered in blood. Kurt is a freedom fighter/super- assassin hunted by a brutal military dictatorship's security forces. Soon after, Jim, Liz and Kurt's lives are set to crash with a galactic war that threatens the very existence of the human race.

Can our heroes save humanity from the wrath of an overwhelming enemy?

The Crimson Deathbringer seamlessly blends breathtaking action sequences with mischievous humor. If you are a science fiction/space opera fan, this book, with its memorable characters, formidable antagonist and Game of Thrones style shocking moments, is written especially for you.

And Amazon link:

I hope you like what you see:)

Claire Dickinson Hi Peyton,

My name is Claire Dickinson. I've just self-published a thriller on Amazon and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing it.

The story is entitled City of Dark and takes place in Paris, where the catacombs are being used for terror attacks. A counter-terror investigator joins forces with a young (female) engineering student, whose detailed knowledge of the underground network takes them on an urbex adventure. You can find a more detailed synopsis as well as a kindle preview on the promotional website: https://cityofdark.com/

While the plot of the story is set in the contemporary city, the intrigue builds on historical details about Paris and the catacombs. It’s a story that blends reality, history and myth. It is available on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/City-Dark-Clai... It is registered for kindle unlimted.

Originally from Canada, I've lived in Paris for many years now. The city’s rich atmosphere provides the inspiration for my work. If you think the book might be the kind of thing you would enjoy, obviously I would be more than happy to hear from you.

Thanks for considering this.
Sincerely,
Claire Dickinson

message 20: by Gregory (new)

Gregory Ulseth I've recently published a dystopian religious fiction set in the early 2100s of what remains of the United States.

We Have a Plan
We Have a Plan by Gregory Ulseth

Blurb: The mission was to salvage the society we once held dear and eliminate religious and underclass oppression. The plan was to build strength through the subterranean network of outlawed religious institutions and high-tech paramilitary powers to infiltrate and to gather assets along the way. Charlie was one such asset groomed from birth to help these Revolutionaries.

Description: Charlie Prescott, a teenager born into an influential family in early 22nd-century America, is forced to grow up fast when he is thrust into a chaotic war. His life of luxury is turned upside down when he learns about the events of the Great Nuclear War and the regional governments. The underground culture he grew up with becomes his strength as he fights for liberty and freedom on the front lines of the war on the southern border. Along the way, he meets a team of unique individuals who become his new family. One thing is certain, though: Charlie must not give up on any part of his family or his faith.

Tenkara Smart Hi Peyton, I could provide a PDF if you'd be interested in reading She Named Me Wolf, book one in the series The Many Lives of Wolf (book 2 coming soon)....let me know as I can see you are very popular :)

https://www.amazon.com/She-Named-Wolf...

★★★★★"If you are a fan of YA novels and great storytelling, this book will be for you. It is beautifully told, emotional, and achingly beautiful.” Kathryn Bennett, Readers' Favorite

Wolf is a loner, growing up in a home with an alcoholic, unpredictable father. The only love he feels comes from his best friend Polly, who happens to be the ghost of a Japanese girl.

As Wolf grows, the ghost helps him cope until ultimately Wolf must make the most significant decision of his life. Only his unique friends, powerful imagination, and recollections of his past life as a samurai warrior will help him choose the right path.

“Tenkara has created something very special here…It’s quite unlike anything I have ever read, deftly mixing childhood angst, alcoholism, abuse, and even some supernatural elements.” Author Alex Robins

S.B. Redstone Hi Peyton,

I'm seeking reviewers for my latest novel—Time Of The Lioness: Internet Apocalypse Book 1. I am offering a free gifted ebook from Amazon. https://amzn.to/3answX5 I can be reached here or at my email Inkblot19@gmail.com

This is the premise, which I hope to tantalize you with. For my novel, I researched a multitude of destructive computer viruses, believing I’d create an imaginary one. To my heart-throbbing amazement, this lethal virus had already been developed by international hackers. I was now convinced, along with Internet security experts, an Internet Apocalypse is inevitable.

You’re at work, in school, out shopping, trapped in an elevator, or sky-high on an amusement park ride, when the power and lights suddenly go out. For a moment, you’re just annoyed, expecting only a momentary problem. Doesn’t happen! Along with the power outage, all means of communication have been severed. The Internet is down and a terrorist’s face gloats. Fear now creeps into your optimism. Hours later, with a world overly dependent on cyberspace, global economies begin to crumble from this irrevocable cyberattack. Totally freaked out, you’ve now become a prisoner of inertia—clueless about how to deal with anarchy, cruelty, and violence. Annie Oakley Frye is a Cyber Warfare Specialist accepted cyberspace had become a cesspool of evil. Annie does not live in a dystopian, fantasy world like Katniss Everdeen, Beatrice Prior, and Lara Croft—she lives among us. Once she discovers this invisible menace is lurking in a million businesses and government agency networks, and it can’t be stopped from obliterating world economies, she sheds her mild-mannered personality and becomes the lioness of her youth to survive. Out of kindness she warns her friends about this approaching cyber nightmare, but they scoff at her insider information and doomsday scenario, believing the government won't let it happen. Once the cyber nightmare launches a surprise arrives at her door!

Hope to hear from you,

Steve

The cover is still in design phase, but here is the Goodreads link to the book for further info. Misguided Perceptions

Susan Swanson A summary of my novel REBIRTH IN ACADI follows:

Set in the small Southern town of Acadi, Louisiana, beginning in 1993, Rebirth in Acadi follows a year and a half in the life of passing African-American Louise Dennis -- formerly Elizabeth Bancroft. We first meet her as she makes final exit from the only home she's ever known in New York. Her story will explore big themes and will include her bigoted fiancé Pierre Armont; the bereaved Cuban immigrant, Cedro Diaz; and an older couple, Margaret and Fred Bohr, who've recently relocated from Minnesota. The year and half are punctuated by eventual answers to Louise's questions regarding her ancestors, who were prominent in Acadi in the mid-Eighteenth Century partly because of their involvement in a tragic duel.

Our initial meeting with each character happens as they go about their lives in rural Louisiana. All of them are in some way involved in the construction and realization of Margaret Bohr's dream home. Louise has taken a job as sales manager of Belmont Estates, the subdivision where Margaret and Fred are building their home. Pierre, Louise's fiance and Donald Trump double -- though on a smaller scale -- is intent on unscrupulous gain as his construction company builds the home. Cedro, a painter on Pierre's crew, is expressing distaste for Pierre's unethical behavior. Margaret, trying to escape regret and sorrow over her mother's death, has joined the local historical society and, with her sudden interest in the duel that took Louise's ancestor's life, threatens Louise's scheme of deception. Fred, meanwhile, is trying to keep his riverboat gambling secret.

At first, circumstances surrounding Louise's deception barely surface. It isn't till Margaret discovers an old iron fence monogram while digging at her building site and informs Louise of it that Louise realizes the precarious nature of her dissemblance. She soon finds herself caught up in a battle to prevent Margaret from uncovering her secret identity. This main plot is counterbalanced by Cedro Diaz's struggle with his tragic history and Fred's unplanned involvement on behalf of Pierre's vulnerable workers.

By the end of the story, Pierre has been barred from the subdivision; Margaret and Fred are busy with a project to get training for Pierre’s unfortunate crew and subcontractors; Cedro is spending time with a little fatherless friend, helping to ease the loneliness of both; and Louise has lost her unsavory fiancé and reconnected with her racial identity.

Hoping you find the book worth reviewing, I am

Susan Swanson

NovicodesLtd Thanks for being interested in what others have written! I also recently released a new technical book. I really tried to make it easy to read for any audience, and fun as well. I covered many topics in the book, so you're guaranteed to get useful insights out of it. It covers interesting points about how a computer works in engaging visuals, object-oriented programming principles in C#, a few real-life code example application, and even some serious life advice I've gathered throughout the years in a humorous manner.
I know that Amazon's new terms of service wouldn't look well on exchanging reviews, and I'm not looking for that. I just feel excited for my work, and perhaps someone would be knowledgeable to tell if there are any groups to promote your hard work. I do have a instant free preview link from Amazon to share though: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asin...
