Please help me claim my book > Likes and Comments

After many days and multiple requests a book I wrote , I am still not able to claim, it , there is no way other then to ask for help here and no help is coming, please help me to become the author of my own book here at good reads. Please.

Apart from moving a book to a new author profile when there is more than one author with the same name, there is nothing GR Librarians can do for authors claiming their profile.

Thank you I will now beg at the new link , however I see many European and American authors do not get thrown around like I am being from one link to other, Is this your policy to treat them with royalty status ?

Oh please, do me a favour. Many authors have to wait a while. There are simply not many librarians active in this group anymore.

Also, it depends a lot on how someone's request is worded. I saw your first request (that you deleted before you posted your new request that was answered within 25 minutes), and it was very rude and demanding.

May I remind you that librarians are volunteers who can pick and choose which requests they do?

Also, librarians have no insight into how author approvals are handled by staff.

I am really sorry if I came across as rude, but my ad campaign was running and my goodreads data was assigning the book to some other author, I was of the view that as goodreads is part of amazon , I will be able to claim the book easily , but it took 2 days just to get the book away from wrong author, now again I am being thrown to a new link, though I had already applied for author's program, 2 days back.

In the meanwhile I see all similar requests from European and American authors were addressed at super quick speed.

So in essence my book is still left as unclaimed and I am still not an author at goodreads, and in the start the book was assigned to some other person.

I can see the lack of librarians , but whatever number they are they do solve issues of European and Americans so much fast that I had to say it.

Any ways its always good to serve your own kind first.

The book was imported by the Amazon import bot. The bots always import to the default author profile, and that profile had already been claimed by another author with the same name as you.

Librarians won't know until one of the authors asks the book to be moved, and your first request was worded in such a way that I (and perhaps other librarians as well) did not feel compelled to help out.

It would have been the same with any European or American author making demands, so you don't have to feel singled out.

Your request (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...) was handled within 30 minutes after you posted it, which is faster than the majority of the requests in the Librarians Group.

bump, after many days my book remains unclaimed and more then 48 hours have gone and no reply from goodreads about adding my author profile and in the mean while I see dozens of such authors from America and Europe posting within in a few hours of them applying for author program, giving a nice thank you for approval, are there separate time limits for authors of different nations ?

It is no good bumping here. As I wrote before (msg #5) librarians are volunteers and have no insight into the approval process, which is handled by staff.

You need to contact Support, as Arenda wrote in msg #3.

Either way, there is no use posting here, because we cannot help you other than moving the book, which was done within 25 minutes of you posting your request.

Librarians are only users from all over the world who can edit book records. we do not have any other access to the system as we are not employees of GR.
So we're technically unable to do anything with someone's account.
