Addison Acres Hi Zoe,

Sorry to hear that you couldn't access the free story. I'm a new author and have been told that I simply must have a reader magnet and so that's what I did. I'm not sure why the automation didn't work with sending you the link when you signed up, but I'll look into that. The story is also available on my FB author page as well as my website - and you don't need to sign up to anything on the website to access it. I'm unable to post links in comments but the link to my website is in the ebook.

And yes, this is going to be a series. I wasn't 100% sure if I was going to turn it into one but it will be. I'll be sure to edit the file to indicate that. I appreciate the feedback. This is a steep learning curve for me and hopefully I'll get better the more I publish.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story and I hope you have no issues now accessing the short story.
Cheers,
Addison

Zoë Miranda Hey Addison,
You are far from the only author to dangle a bonus story, scene, or epilogue to entice a reader to join your mailing list. I couldn't even hazard a guess as to how many newsletters I'm now subscribed to, probably hundreds.
Sorry for grumping, don't take it personally, I'm just old and ornery, lol.
You'll be glad to know that the e-mail with the link finally arrived in my inbox a little over 28 hours after I signed up for the newsletter so I've got it downloaded now and will circle back to read it after I finish my current book. Having it available on your web site and FB page is a nice touch, I didn't even think to look.
Thanks for following up and thank you for such an adorable story.
