I'm reading the Selection series, and so far, so good! The main character grows rather whiny and self-pitying in the second book, but elsewhere, it's pretty amazing!
Chemical Garden series Razorland series by Ann Aguirre
The Thaw by Tamar Sloan
Conspiracy Chronicles by K.A Riley
The hunger games, Legend, and Warcross. I'm currently reading the Maze Runner Series but so far so good!!!

It isn't.
Oh, I guess formally we can tell it so, but it is an insult to all real dystopian.
Kiera Cass wanted sweet romance with prince charming, but also learned that hunger-games-like topics are popular and she wanted to get into that train... but all dystopian elements there are just naive.
The Shadow Children by HaddixThe Giver by Lowry
What's Left of Me by Zhang
both not action-packed, rather quiet, gentle and thought-provoking
Delirium by Oliver - for romance fans; imagiative world building, interesting, weak at the beginning main heroine
Drown Cities by Bacigalupi - cruel world, inobvious morality, powerful writing
Darkest Minds (am I so old and you don't remember that? usually it one of first titles named in such discussions)
Red Queen (more fantasy than dystopian but sometimes called dystopian too )
Little Brother by Doctorrow (technical thriller, question abou freedom vs safety in society)
UnWind by Shusterman - brilliant action and characters, some moral dilemmas, different povs
Last but not least (rather most :)) Red Rising. That's very mature and complicated, maybe more adult fiction.

Personally, i'm a huge fan of the series but the dystopian elements are a side note with the romance as the main hooker. I love Kiera Cass, but she left very big loopholes and gaps in general when it comes to the dystopian world.
I would recommend it, just not if you're there mainly for the dystopia.
The Cure by K.A. Riley or Bumped by Megan McCafferty. I thought both were pretty good. Hope that helps!
The Giver by Lois Lowry; I've read it so many times and it's short but impactful. The author also has loosely related sequels that are sort of part of the same society but different aspects of it and each sequel follows a different protagonist whilst still mentioning the original book's protagonist and his progress/achievements/whereabouts.
Hope that makes sense! :)
Try Antunites Unite or any book from The Antunite Chronicles trilogy by Terry Birdgenaw. It's like Brave New World or 1984 with espionage thrown in.
