Helen Thanks for the information about the next book, looking forward to it.

And hope you enjoy your visit to Bouchercon in San Diego (saw your name on the panel list). I'm not attending this year, but I know it's always a great convention.

Charles Todd Dear Helen:

Dianna and I always look forward to Bouchercon. I am sorry you can't attend this year. Next year is in Nashville! I hope you can make it there!

All the Best,
Charles

Jessica Thank you for the information and for your bravery in continuing your writing alone. You must miss your mother both for herself and for what I am sure was your most trusted editor. I have had a crush on Ian Rutledge from the very first book. My husband and I have been lucky enough to visit many of the places where the books are set and I thrill when your words bring the place back to life. Looking forward to October. Jessica

Charles Todd Dear Readers and Fans:

I owe everyone an apology. I regret it has taken so long replying to sevveral questions about A Fearsome Doubt and Search the Dark. I am working of getting to those questions and closing Caroline;s Estate so publication of the New Rutledge can be published.

Life has it's challenges. Sadly, my sister Linda, passed away on January 21, 2024. It has been a difficult time for me personally along with my extended family. Now I am dealing with two estates and making arraingements for my sister.

Please know that I am working on answers to these great questions and will have an answer soon. I cannot tell all of you how much I appreciate everyone;s patience waiting for the new Ian Rutledge and Bess mysteries. I sincerely hope to have news soon.

All the Best,

Charles

message 12: by Bella (Kiki) (new)

Bella (Kiki) I'm so sorry to read you lost both your mother and your sister. I hope life will be good to you now. Please know you and your mother were such a wonderful team! I reread the "Inspector Rutledge" mysteries when I'm down (dealing with a lot of medical problems and surgeries), and you and your mother never fail to lift my spirits and keep me company. You are a special person, and your mother was a very special person, with a wonderful gift for excellent storytelling.

I am glad to read that you are going to keep writing this series. Every book will be a tribute to your wonderful mother. I can't thank you enough for continuing the series.

God bless,

Kiki
